‘In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. By Time, indeed humanity is in a state of loss. Except those who believe and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of truth and in the mutual teaching of patience’ (Surah al-`Asr, 103:1-3)
"Professional Architect lives almost by faith. When called upon he can do the job without fear or favour. He possesses aspecialized skill and lives by a code of ethics cloaked in honour andintegrity. He is expected to speak his mind and give his views. Whenfaced with absolute wrong, he can resolutely disagree and walk away." quote from THE PROFESSIONAL MAN by Ar Dr Tan Loke Mun PRESIDENT PAM

The Bottom Line
"It's true that you need friends in life in order to lead a more fulfilled life, but it's not a good idea to get too hung up about how many friends you have. It's all about quality-- not quantity."

SPECIAL GIFT
14 June 2008
Too much to learn so much to discover about who we are. If I'm gifted with creative artistic hand which could turn things into beautiful items, how much do I really know about my gift ? If there were few people with similar gift, would I get the opportunity of getting to know them? How much have I celebrated the gift?
Sometimes we forget that each of us have been created with special gifts. Maybe there is always a gift that has yet to be discovered. So, go ahead and seek for it!

IT'S NOT MINE
I believe all this design idea is not totally mine, it was from Allah (ilham) and by publishing it, in one way make me feel more grateful (syukur) about the gift. I feel the more I keep it to myself, the less idea I would develop. I'm not really a good muslim, but in this way it might open the way to be one.

MY FIRST ELECTRIC GUITAR
on 9 February 2008I'm neither Jimi Hendrix nor Man Kidal. I've always been music illiterate. I still remember how much I hate to memorise the chord for an instrument as simple as the recorder.
However, that doesn't stop me from appreciating songs and music. I've never have the time to grab a guitar during the years of studies cause I thought that it was just a complete waste of time (no examination on the subject). However my inner art sense is eager to know how to create my own melody.
I've never thought this day would come. A gift from my wife who knows the kind of life that I've been thru, wanted me to grab back that lost opportunity that I'd sacrificed.
To my amazement, the sound that I hear from this proper electric guitar was "fantastic". It is a totally different experience from my classical out of tune car-boot guitar that I bought for my first practice. I know all this while that the ability to play an instrument would help to generate better synchronize mind.
Now it would trigger my design and creativity better.

A SUPRISE VISIT
3 February 2008,
We were in the park that day. Suddenly my mum and dad came out off nowhere. They came to pay a visit. I ran to reach them. I gave them each a hug and a kiss. My mother looked older and my dad was using a walking stick. I wondered how they managed to pay us a visit. I was even more surprised upon seeing my grandfather, "tokwan" together with them. He still looked the same as I last saw him years before. He said, 'ooo, nielah kampung hangpa ya' (oh, so this is your village). I cried as I hugged him and whispered into his ears, "Abang sayang sangat tokwan" ( I love you so much grandpa). It was a happy day for everybody..for me, my wife and my boys to meet their grandpa and great grandpa. There were flashes of memories as we walked through the park on that bright sunny day.
I then rang my parents back home to tell them of my dream and that I have been missing them so much.

A WHITE MORNING
It was a white Saturday. It is Snowing at last!. All of us have been waiting for it for quite sometimes. My boys were the most excited children that day. All the places were covered with white snow. The front garden, the roof, the car and even more in the park. My sons were jingling christmas songs with the snow that falls in February while we walk thru the park. "Let is snow, let it snow". They were shouting with joy in the middle of the park. I was all smiling looking at their reaction towards their new adventure. For the first time they played the real snow ball and made their first snow man ever! One old man who walked passed them told, "That's not so bad, is it. I quite like your snowman." Not too bad for a first timer.
I like England, papa, there's snow here! I guess they have not experienced the best of my childhood back home...Malaysia. "Nanti mereka akan merasainya...disuatu hari yang indah."

PATCH OF HEAVEN
28 January 2008,
I was driving with my wife to a peaceful, small village in a valley surounded by hills somewhere back in Malaysia. It was chilly and a bit foggy that morning when we arrived. I was so amazed and ask my wife "what is this place?" she replied, " I think it's called Chukai, Terengganu". "Are you sure that's the name of this place?" I asked again. "I really want to stay in this place for the rest of our life". My wife just smiled as we held hand and looked over the valley of peace "welcome home sayang (love) !"
I woke up from the dream hoping that it will soon come true.

A WHOLE NEW MIND
27 January 2008, 21:47
Lying together in bed with my beloved wife. We were both reading stories under one study lamp. We were both indulged in seeking for a deeper understanding of ourselves and our purpose. Then, I got up to write this mini-sagas to tell the begining of my whole new mind.
"If stories come to you, care for them. And learn to give them away where they needed. Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive" Barry Lopez, author of Arctic Dreams
