‘In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. By Time, indeed humanity is in a state of loss. Except those who believe and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of truth and in the mutual teaching of patience’ (Surah al-`Asr, 103:1-3)
"Professional Architect lives almost by faith. When called upon he can do the job without fear or favour. He possesses aspecialized skill and lives by a code of ethics cloaked in honour andintegrity. He is expected to speak his mind and give his views. Whenfaced with absolute wrong, he can resolutely disagree and walk away." quote from THE PROFESSIONAL MAN by Ar Dr Tan Loke Mun PRESIDENT PAM

CHADDERTON 2

Despite good impression on the first draft of this scheme, the client requested a second option for the design (as usual client do ask for several options). I was called to carry out the assignment for the second option. This is an honour for me. For being trusted to carry out design works. Most of the design collegues have longer working experience with wider range of knowledge. I'm talking about designers who are now at their 60s . So, I am very junior compared to them to be given this trust. Alhamdulillah. However some people might say that I should be able to do more than this or they had been doing something more that just a simple office warehouse. Despite all that, I prefer to be a learner rather than being arrogant at my young age.

This design is still based on previous scheme. I took several elements from it and further developed them to create some sense of continuity from the first option. It would be a different design, but by bringing the similar elements will keep the essence of the one same thought. Apparently, it works! And most of all, the client really liked it.

Nothing can be so amusingly arrogant as a young man who has just discovered an old idea and thinks it is his own.
